Two devotees from Gorakhpur, who had come to offer prayers to Goddess Vindhyavasini in Vindhyachal, Mirzapur, slipped into deep waters while bathing in the Ganges. Alert local boatmen quickly responded and rescued both using bamboo poles. The dramatic moment was captured on video and is now going viral online.
